  • Who We Are
    • Granite Golf Club is unlike any other in Southern Ontario. Nestled between the untouched beauty of the ancient Oak Ridges Moraine and the gently rolling countryside, it combines the best features of Scotland's oldest links with all the advances of a truly modern golf course.

Renowned Canadian golf architect Thomas McBroom’s design remained faithful to the natural contours of the land and preserved all the best features of a delightful walk in the country. It’s for this very reason that the vast majority of our members choose to walk the course.

The boundaries of Granite Golf are buffered by protected wildlife habitat. No office towers or residential developments block your view of the magnificent countryside, and no airplane or traffic noise is heard while you putt. The impeccable playing conditions are the result of responsible, environmental grounds maintenance, allowing the course to thrive in harmony with the timeless beauty of the region.

From open meadow to hardwood forest and wetland, McBroom used his experience designing some of the most admired golf courses in the world to create an exciting new adventure on each hole. The Granite Golf Club is a course our members will never tire of playing.

  • Philosophy
    • Granite Golf Club opened its first nine holes on July 15, 2000 and 2001 was the first full season. From the very beginning, the vision was to be the most family-friendly private club, with an unwavering commitment to extraordinary member service.

Gender, age or level of player was never going to be an issue; Granite Golf Club was going to set a standard in the industry for every member of the family, whether male or female, young or old.

Women are embraced as a key part of the club, whether they join on their own, with their children or with a spouse. The Friendship Committee assists all lady golf members who are new to the club, unfamiliar with the course or looking for playing partners.

Children and beginners are encouraged to participate and develop their games. Granite Golf Club is the first in Canada to introduce the Family Tees Program, which makes the course accessible to children as young as age seven.

Granite Golf Club is more than a world-class course; it’s a warm and relaxed atmosphere that welcomes entire families to enjoy a round of golf and the many amenities offered by the club. A full social calendar encompasses many events throughout the course of the year.
